Rakow Adds Two Players Before Transfer Window Deadline

Polish Team Strengthens Roster

Polish Ekstraklasa leaders Rakow Częstochowa have signed two new players before the transfer window closes, continuing their preparations for UEFA Europa League knockout round play in March.

Two new players arrive at Rakow

The Częstochowa club signed Guinea international midfielder Florentin Pogba and Polish youth international goalkeeper Kacper Trelowski. Pogba, 31, is the older brother of Juventus and France midfielder Paul Pogba. Trelowski, 20, joins Rakow from Podbeskidzie Bielsko-Biała.

Both players will be available to play for Rakow in the Europa League knockout round play-off tie against Cypriot club Omonia Nicosia on February 16 and 23. Rakow finished second in Group F behind Belgian side Gent to reach the play-offs. They will learn their Round of 16 opponent in a draw on February 24.

Rakow leads Polish League

In domestic action, Rakow leads the Ekstraklasa table by five points from Pogon Szczecin after 19 matches. They have won 13 games, drawn five and lost just once.
