Washington DC's LGBTQ Pride Festival Announces Dates and New Route for 2024 Parade

WEB Capital Pride Alliance, the nonprofit organization that celebrates and advocates for the LGBTQ community, has announced the dates and a new route for the 2024 Capital Pride Festival. The festival will take place from August 17-25 across the nation's capital, culminating in the annual Capital Pride Parade on Sunday, August 25.

The Capital Pride Parade, one of the largest annual events in the national capital region, will follow a new route this year. The parade will begin at 4:30 p.m. at 22nd and P Streets NW and proceed down P Street to 17th Street NW, then turn left onto 17th Street NW and continue to Pennsylvania Avenue NW. The parade will then turn right onto Pennsylvania Avenue NW and proceed to 14th Street NW, where it will disband.

In addition to the parade, the Capital Pride Festival will feature a variety of entertainment, food, drink, and advocacy activities throughout the city. The festival will also include a number of special events, such as the Capital Pride Drag Brunch, the Capital Pride Block Party, and the Capital Pride Concert.
