Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel unmoved by petition calling for him to stay
The German manager has been linked with a move to Arsenal
Tuchel says he is 'committed' to Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel has said he will not allow himself to be influenced by a petition asking for him to remain at the club.
The petition, which has been signed by over 100,000 fans, was created in response to reports that Tuchel is set to leave Bayern at the end of the season.
Tuchel has been linked with a move to Arsenal, and he has refused to rule out the possibility of leaving the Bundesliga champions.
"I am committed to Bayern Munich," Tuchel said on Friday. "I have a contract here until 2019, and I am focused on winning trophies with this club.
"I am aware of the petition, and I am grateful for the support of the fans. But I will not allow myself to be influenced by it.
"I will make a decision about my future at the end of the season. But for now, I am focused on winning the Bundesliga and the Champions League with Bayern Munich.
Tuchel's comments suggest that he is not interested in staying at Bayern Munich beyond this season. The German manager has been linked with a move to Arsenal, and he could be tempted to leave the Bundesliga champions if he is offered the chance to manage the Gunners.
Bayern Munich fans will be disappointed if Tuchel leaves the club, but they will understand that he needs to make a decision that is best for his career.
